Golf Workshops In Depth
Creating the right mental state
You don’t have to hope and pray for good form any longer. We will support you to work with your mind and body to create at will the right mental state for peak performance. Consciously utilising the appropriate areas of the brain for the three different phases of a golf shot is a key element in this process:
Preparation Mode - an effective pre-shot routine that programmes a successful outcome both consciously and sub-consciously;
Swing Mode - switching off all instructions during the swing and moving into NOW using Kagami exercises. This allows the sub-conscious mind and body to work together effectively, in the same way small children learn sports;
Feedback Mode - asking higher order questions after the shot helps to identify the root cause of both effective and poor shots, thereby developing a repeatable “system for success”.
Improving technique without using instructions
The speed and effortlessness with which technical swing changes occur during a Kagami workshop sometimes looks like magic! By tapping into the natural learning processes you may have forgotten or lost faith in as an adult, we are able to work on both the mental and technical areas of the game simultaneously.
Every KAGAMI exercise addresses a different technical challenge, as well as bringing you back to the now. You will never need instructions again once you join the growing band of KAGAMI golfers…
Understanding your own technical and mental challenges and knowing which Kagami exercises to use to help yourself, makes you independent and more consistent on the golf course. The 2 pictures below, taken at the beginning and end of a Kagami workshop, show a major technical change. This golfer went on to win the next 3 tournaments she played.

Expanding physical capabilities
The golf swing is not the place to stretch or strengthen your body. You will always swing the golf club within your physical capabilities. Other exercises are necessary to create a bigger hip turn, more flexibility or stronger back muscles for example.
We have a wealth of experience in this field having worked with some of the best physical trainers around the world, specifically for the muscles used in the golf swing.
Finding emotional equilibrium
Your emotions play a vital role in your success on the golf course and in tournaments. Becoming more aware of their influence, and learning how to maintain your equilibrium regardless of outside circumstances or internal pressure is an important key to reducing your handicap.
Due
to many years of study in the field of personal development, we have
a wide range of tools at our disposal, including NLP exercises,
gestalt, re-framing, coaching, and being in “CHI” during the
swing.
